Discontinuation of KleioLab and the Geovistory Environment
The company KleioLab as well as the Geovistory environment will be discontinued as of the end of 2025.
Dear users of the Geovistory Toolbox and friends of the Geovistory environment,
As some of you may already be aware of, after many years of hard work on the Geovistory environment, KleioLab will be closing its doors by the end of 2025. In this context, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the Geovistory Toolbox as well as the infrastructure in the present state by the end of December 2025. At the same time, the new LOD4HSS initiative is exploring new ways of realising the vision of a Linked Open Data ecosystem.
If you would like to extract your project’s data, you can use the tools in the Geovistory Toolbox Analysis Section to customize your tables and use the JSON download function.
Find here a description on how to use the ‘table builder’ in the Toolbox.
In case needed, find here materials from a training on how to work with JSON files
We invite you to conclude all JSON exports by the 15th of December.
Please contact us in case you would need your project’s data in the form of a RDF data dump and we can discuss this option with you.
We want to thank you very much for your contribution to the Geovistory vision and community and we wish you every success with your academic endeavours.
Best wishes, David Knecht
Co-Director of KleioLab
